Provided are: a rectangular steel pipe that has small variation in hardness in a circumferential cross-section and excellent ductility and toughness on corner outer surfaces, and has a flat plate section; a method for manufacturing same; and a building structure. A plurality of flat plate sections 11 and a plurality of corner sections 12 are alternately formed in the pipe peripheral direction, a weld section 13 extending in the pipe axis direction is further formed, the pipe peripheral width of a melt solidified section in the weld section 13 is 1.0-1,000 μm inclusive, and the radius of curvature of the corner outer side is greater than 3.0 times and no greater than 4.0 times the average plate width. The average plate thickness t (mm) can be greater than 0.030 times the average side length H (mm).

L'invention concerne : un tuyau en acier rectangulaire qui présente une faible variation de dureté dans une section transversale circonférentielle et une ductilité et une ténacité excellentes sur les surfaces extérieures des angles, et qui comporte une section de plaque plate ; un procédé de fabrication de ce dernier ; et une structure de construction. Une pluralité de sections de plaque plate (11) et une pluralité de sections d'angle (12) sont formées en alternance dans le sens de la périphérie du tuyau, une section de soudure (13) s'étendant dans le sens de l'axe du tuyau est en outre formée, la largeur périphérique de tuyau d'une section solidifiée à l'état fondu dans la section de soudure (13) mesure entre 1,0 et 1 000 µm inclus, et le rayon de courbure du côté extérieur des angles est supérieur à 3,0 fois et inférieur ou égal à 4,0 fois la largeur moyenne de plaque. L'épaisseur moyenne de plaque t (mm) peut être supérieure à 0,030 fois la longueur de côté moyenne H (mm).

周断面内の硬さのばらつきが小さく、角部外面の延性および靭性に優れ、平坦な平板部を有する角形鋼管及びその製造方法並びに建築構造物を提供すること。 管周方向に平板部11と角部12とが交互に夫々複数形成されており、管軸方向に延びた溶接部13が更に形成されており、溶接部13における溶融凝固部の管周方向の幅が1.0μm以上1000μm以下であり、角部外側の曲率半径が平均板厚の3.0倍超4.0倍以下であるようにする。平均板厚t(mm)は平均辺長H(mm)の0.030倍超とすることができる。
