Provided is a steering device having a lock nut that fixes the outer ring of a steering nut screwed to a rack bar and in which a loosening prevention protrusion formed in a lock nut body is brought into contact with a radial abutting section and loosening of the lock nut is suppressed by frictional force, a lock nut recess for reducing mechanical rigidity is formed on the outer circumferential surface of the loosening prevention protrusion, external force acting from the outer ring is buffered by the lock nut recess, and decreases in the area of contact between the loosening prevention protrusion and the radial abutting section are thereby suppressed.

L'invention concerne un dispositif de direction, lequel dispositif a un écrou de verrouillage qui fixe la bague externe d'un écrou de direction vissé sur une barre de crémaillère, et dans lequel une saillie de prévention de desserrage formée dans un corps d'écrou de verrouillage est amenée en contact avec une section de butée radiale et un desserrage de l'écrou de verrouillage est empêché par une force de frottement, un évidement d'écrou de verrouillage pour réduire la rigidité mécanique est formé sur la surface circonférentielle externe de la saillie de prévention de desserrage, une force externe agissant à partir de la bague externe est amortie par l'évidement d'écrou de verrouillage, et des diminutions dans la zone de contact entre la saillie de prévention de desserrage et la section de butée radiale sont ainsi éliminées.
