Abstract

A radiation therapy system (100) includes a magnetic resonance imaging (MRI) apparatus (310) and a radiation therapy apparatus (320). The MRI apparatus (310) is configured to acquire magnetic resonance imaging data with respect to a region of interest (ROI). The radiation therapy apparatus (320) is configured to apply therapeutic radiation to at least one portion of the ROI when rotating with a gantry (321'). The radiation therapy apparatus (320) includes an eddy current reduction apparatus (700) coupled to the gantry (321'). The eddy current reduction apparatus (700) includes at least one structure (721, 722, 723, 724), wherein each of the at least one structure (721, 722, 723, 724) includes a plurality of internal structures and at least some of the plurality of internal structures are electrically disconnected from each other.
