Test entity for verifying user equipment (UE) device layer 2 sustained downlink maximum data rate decoding performance may send a non-access stratum message to the UE device that requests activation of a downlink-only test mode, sending a first Packet Data Convergence Protocol (PDCP) status request to the UE device, send downlink PDCP packets to the UE device during a measurement interval, receive a physical layer (PHY) hybrid acknowledge request (HARQ) acknowledgement (ACK) or non-acknowledgement (NACK) from the UE device and determine expected missed layer 1 packets based on the received PHY HARQ ACK/NACK, send a second PDCP status request to the UE device after the measurement interval, receive a PDCP status report from the UE device, and determine missed layer 2 packets from a First Missing Count (FMC) value or bitmap included in the received PDCP status report.

La présente invention concerne une entité de test permettant de vérifier une performance de décodage de débit de données maximal de liaison descendante soutenu de couche 2 de dispositif d'équipement utilisateur (UE) pouvant envoyer un message de strate de non-accès au dispositif UE qui demande l'activation d'un mode de test uniquement en liaison descendante, permettant d'envoyer une première demande état de protocole de convergence de données par paquets (PDCP) au dispositif UE, pouvant envoyer des paquets PDCP de liaison descendante au dispositif UE pendant un intervalle de mesure, pouvant recevoir un accusé de réception (ACK) ou un accusé de réception négatif (NACK) de demande d'accusé de réception hybride (HARQ) de couche physique (PHY) en provenance du dispositif UE et pouvant déterminer des paquets de couche 1 manqués attendus en fonction de l'ACK/NACK HARQ PHY reçu, pouvant envoyer une seconde demande d'état PDCP au dispositif UE après l'intervalle de mesure, pouvant recevoir un rapport d'état PDCP en provenance du dispositif UE, et pouvant déterminer des paquets de couche 2 manqués à partir d'une valeur ou d'une table de bits de premier comptage manquant (FMC) compris dans le rapport d'état PDCP reçu.
