The present invention describes methods for obtaining functionalized polymeric surfaces (MPn-PSm) from polymers or copolymers with appropriate functionalizations (X), which can be a halogen or a leaving group, such as polyvinyl chloride (MP1) and (Chloromethyl)polystyrene-Merrifield (MP2), and curcumin photosensitizers (PS1), meso-Tetra(aryl)porphyrins, halogenated and functionalized chlorins and bacteriochlorins with nucleophilic groups (PS2). The structures of all of the photosensitizers in the present application incorporate the functional group (Y), which is an OH, SH or NH2 nucleophile. The application also describes the covalent bonding process of the photosensitizers PS1-PS3 to the functionalized polymeric materials MP1-MP2 by means of a nucleophilic substitution reaction to prepare the MPn-PSm products. The formed products prevent microbial proliferation, which can cause the serious infections that are one of the main causes of death in patients using these devices.

La présente invention concerne des procédés d’obtention de surfaces polymères fonctionnalisées (MPn-PSm) à partir des polymères ou copolymères avec fonctionnalisations appropriées (X), qui peuvent être un halogène ou un groupe partant, tel que le polychlorure de vinyle (MP1) et le (chlorométhyl)polystyrène-merrifield (MP2), et deux photosensibilisateurs du type curcumine (PS1), meso-tétra-aryl-porphirines, chlorines et bactériochlorines halogénées et fonctionnalisées avec des groupes nucléophiles (PS2). Tous les photosensibilisateurs de la présente invention renferment dans leur structure le groupe fonctionnel (Y), ce dernier étant un nucléophile du type OH, SH ou NH2. L’invention concerne également le procédé de liaison covalente des photosensibilisateurs PS1-PS3 aux matériaux polymères fonctionnalisés MP1-MP2, au moyen d’une réaction de substitution nucléophile pour préparer les produits MPn-PSm. Les produits formés évitent la prolifération microbienne, cause d’infections graves, et l’une des principales causes de mort chez les patients utilisant ces dispositifs.

Na presente invenção são descritos processos de obtenção de superfícies poliméricas funcionalizadas (MPn-PSm), a partir dos polímeros ou copolímeros com funcionalizações apropriadas (X), que podem ser um halogênio ou um grupo abandonador, como policloreto de vinila (MP1) e (clorometil)poliestireno-merrifield (MP2), e dos fotossensibilizadores do tipo curcumina (PS1), meso-tetra aril porfirinas, clorinas e bacterioclorinas halogenadas e funcionalizadas com grupos nucleofílicos (PS2). Todos os fotossensibilizadores da presente incorporam na sua estrutura o grupo funcional (Y), sendo este um nucleófilo do tipo OH, SH ou NH2. Descreve também o processo de ligação covalente dos fotossensibilizadores PS1-PS3 aos materiais poliméricos funcionalizados MP1-MP2, através de uma reação de substituição nucleofílica para preparar os produtos MPn-PSm. Os produtos formados evitam a proliferação microbiana, causa de infecções graves, sendo um dos principais motivos de morte em pacientes que utilizam estes dispositivos.
