Abstract
(EN) The present invention relates to systems and methods for transcutaneous blood gas measurements. In particular the invention relates to continuous transcutaneous measurement of carbon dioxide in the blood of the patient wherein the skin of the patient is heated and to minimize the detrimental effects of the heating. A nerve stimulating element of the system for transcutaneous blood gas measurement is configured to transmit a continuous pulsed signal to the skin of the person wherein the continuous pulsed signal comprises nerve stimulating pulses and relaxation periods. The nerve stimulating pulses each has a duration of less than 3 minutes.
(FR) La présente invention concerne des systèmes et des procédés pour des mesures transcutanées de gaz sanguin. En particulier, l'invention concerne la mesure transcutanée continue de dioxyde de carbone dans le sang du patient, la peau du patient étant chauffée et la minimisation des effets néfastes du chauffage. Un élément de stimulation nerveuse du système de mesure transcutanée de gaz sanguin est conçu pour transmettre un signal pulsé continu à la peau de la personne, le signal pulsé continu comprenant des impulsions de stimulation nerveuse et des périodes de relaxation. Les impulsions de stimulation nerveuse ont chacune une durée inférieure à 3 minutes.
