Abstract

A joystick control device (1) comprises a base (2) and a teeter board (8) supported on the base by at least first and second pivoting mounts, with each pivoting mount guiding relative rotary motion between the base (2) and the teeter board (8) about a respective axis of rotation, and the respective axes of rotation of the first and second pivoting mounts are spaced apart and extend parallel to each other. A handle (3) effects movement of the teeter board (8), which movement is detected by a sensor (44) arranged to generate an output signal indicative of the position and orientation of the teeter board relative to the base. Third and fourth pivoting mounts having respective axes of rotation perpendicular to those of the first and second pivoting mounts are suitably also provided to enable the device to provide two-axis control.

L'invention concerne un dispositif de commande à manette (1) qui comprend une base (2) et un panneau basculant (8) monté sur la base par au moins des premier et second supports pivotants, chaque support pivotant guidant un mouvement rotatif relatif entre la base (2) et le panneau basculant (8) autour d'un axe de rotation respectif, et les axes de rotation respectifs des premier et second supports pivotants étant espacés l'un de l'autre et s'étendant parallèlement l'un à l'autre. Une poignée (3) effectue le mouvement du panneau basculant (8), ledit mouvement étant détecté par un capteur (44) agencé pour générer un signal de sortie indiquant la position et l'orientation du panneau basculant par rapport à la base. L'invention concerne également des troisième et quatrième supports pivotants ayant des axes de rotation respectifs perpendiculaires à ceux des premier et second supports pivotants pour permettre au dispositif d'assurer une commande à deux axes.
