Abstract

Described herein are systems, and methods for aiding a user to classify a volume of tissue. A system as described herein may comprise: a plurality of parameters associated with image characteristics related to one or more images of a volume of tissue; a plurality of probabilities each associated with a potential classification of a region of the volume of tissue and each related to one or more parameters of the plurality of parameters, wherein the plurality of probabilities are assumed to be independent of one another; and a graphical display visible to a user, the display comprising a graphical representation of a subset of relevant parameters of the plurality of parameters, wherein the graphical representation informs a classification of the region of the volume of tissue, and wherein a probability of the classification is represented visually.

L'invention concerne des systèmes et des procédés permettant d'aider un utilisateur à classer un volume tissulaire. Un système tel que décrit selon l'invention peut comprendre : une pluralité de paramètres associés à des caractéristiques d'image associées à une ou plusieurs images d'un volume tissulaire; une pluralité de probabilités associées chacune à une classification potentielle d'une région du volume tissulaire et associées chacune à un ou plusieurs paramètres de la pluralité de paramètres, la pluralité de probabilités étant supposées indépendantes les unes des autres; et un dispositif d'affichage graphique visible pour un utilisateur, le dispositif d'affichage comprenant une représentation graphique d'un sous-ensemble de paramètres pertinents de la pluralité de paramètres, la représentation graphique informant d'une classification de la région du volume tissulaire, et une probabilité de la classification étant représentée visuellement.
