According to an example aspect of the present invention there is provided a method for producing food products, which comprise destarched oats, together with at least one other plant protein product, at least one starch component, or both. The method of the invention comprises cooking a mixture comprising destarched oats using hydrothermal cooking or extrusion cooking. The invention also relates to the use of destarched oats in the manufacture of food products and to food products comprising destarched oats.

Selon un aspect donné à titre d'exemple de la présente invention, l'invention concerne un procédé de production de produits alimentaires, qui comprennent de l'avoine désamidonnée, conjointement avec au moins un autre produit protéique végétal, au moins un composant amidonné, ou les deux. Le procédé de l'invention comprend la cuisson d'un mélange comprenant de l'avoine désamidonnée à l'aide d'une cuisson hydrothermique ou d'une cuisson par extrusion. L'invention concerne également l'utilisation d'avoine désamidonnée dans la fabrication de produits alimentaires et des produits alimentaires comprenant de l'avoine désamidonnée.
