Abstract

A pressure-containing silo for one or more components on a primary coolant circuit of a nuclear reactor is provided. The pressure-containing silo for one or more components on a primary coolant circuit of a nuclear reactor having nuclear fuel assemblies which are cooled by coolant circulating around the primary coolant circuit, the silo defining a release space which, in the event of a loss-of-coolant accident releasing the pressurised coolant water from the one or more components contained therein, receives and contains the released water and steam, at increasing pressure, formed therefrom; wherein the silo is formed from plural, substantially identical, stacked and joined modular units, each modular unit having: a concrete body, a metal liner which lines a surface of the concrete body, and which, when the units are stacked and joined, is sealed edge-to-edge with the metal liners of neighbouring units to form an inward-facing, pressure-containing skin surrounding the release space, and plural conduits which, when the units are stacked, align with the conduits of neighbouring units to receive elongate tensioning members for post-stressing the concrete of the bodies.

L'invention concerne un silo sous pression pour un ou plusieurs composants situés sur un circuit de refroidissement primaire d'un réacteur nucléaire. Ledit silo sous pression comprend des assemblages de combustible nucléaire qui sont refroidis par un fluide de refroidissement circulant autour du circuit de refroidissement primaire, le silo forme un espace de libération qui, en cas d'accident de perte de fluide de refroidissement libérant l'eau de refroidissement sous pression du ou des composants contenus en son sein, reçoit et contient l'eau libérée et la vapeur ainsi formée à une pression croissante. Le silo est constitué de plusieurs unités modulaires sensiblement identiques empilées et assemblées, chaque unité modulaire ayant : un corps en béton, un revêtement métallique qui recouvre une surface du corps en béton et qui, lorsque les unités sont empilées et assemblées, est scellé bord à bord avec les revêtements métalliques des unités voisines pour former une face tournée vers l'intérieur, sous pression, entourant l'espace de libération, et de plusieurs conduits qui, lorsque les unités sont empilées, s'alignent avec les conduits des unités voisines pour recevoir des éléments de tension allongés pour la post-contrainte du béton des corps.
