Disclosed herein are example configurations of centrifuges used for analyzing properties of core samples extracted from sub-surface environments, in which the configuration of the centrifuges and rotations thereof improve fluid distribution within core samples held in the apparatus. In one aspect, a centrifuge includes a rotating arm and a holder coupled to a distal end of the rotating arm, the holder being configured to rotate independently of the rotating arm for analyzing fluid- rock interaction within the holder.

L'invention concerne des exemples de configurations de centrifugeuses utilisées pour analyser des propriétés d'échantillons de carotte extraits à partir d'environnements de sous-surface, la configuration des centrifugeuses et les rotations de celles-ci améliorant la distribution de fluide à l'intérieur d'échantillons de carotte maintenus dans l'appareil. Selon un aspect, une centrifugeuse comprend un bras rotatif et un support accouplé à une extrémité distale du bras rotatif, le support étant conçu pour tourner indépendamment du bras rotatif afin d'analyser une interaction fluide-roche à l'intérieur du support.
