Abstract

A stator having a plurality of stator bars disposed circumferentially at intervals around an axis is provided. Each of the stator bars has a set of windings wound therearound for generating a magnetic field generally parallel to the axis. A plurality of radially outwardly disposed electrical interconnects for connecting two or more windings together are provided radially outwardly of the plurality of stator bars and extending circumferentially along at least a portion of the outer periphery of the stator bars. A plurality of radially inwardly disposed electrical interconnects for connecting two or more windings together are also provided radially inwardly of the stator bars and extending circumferentially along at least a portion of the inner periphery of the stator bars. The outer periphery of the stator is devoid of radially outwardly disposed interconnects along one or more portions.

L'invention concerne un stator comportant une pluralité de barres de stator disposées circonférentiellement à intervalles autour d'un axe. Chacune des barres de stator comporte un ensemble d'enroulements enroulés autour d'elle pour générer un champ magnétique généralement parallèle à l'axe. Une pluralité d'interconnexions électriques disposées radialement à l'extérieur pour connecter ensemble deux enroulements ou plus sont disposées radialement à l'extérieur de la pluralité de barres de stator et s'étendent circonférentiellement le long d'au moins une partie de la périphérie extérieure des barres de stator. Une pluralité d'interconnexions électriques disposées radialement à l'intérieur pour connecter ensemble deux enroulements ou plus sont également disposées radialement à l'intérieur des barres de stator et s'étendent circonférentiellement le long d'au moins une partie de la périphérie intérieure des barres de stator. La périphérie extérieure du stator est dépourvue d'interconnexions disposées radialement à l'extérieur le long d'une ou de plusieurs parties.
