A detector for, and a method of, detecting analytes in gases in described. The detector comprises a sorbent for sorbing therein and/ or thereon and/or desorbing therefrom, an analyte included in a gas exposed thereto, at a zeroth temperature, pressure (T o,P o ), a controller arranged to change the zeroth temperature, pressure (To,P o ) to a first temperature, pressure (T l, P l ) according to a first equation, to desorb and/or sorb at least some of the analyte; and a sensor arranged to sense at least some of the analyte and to output a response corresponding to the sensed analyte. The response comprises and/or is a characteristic response of the analyte. The first response is modified based on a first baseline response at the zeroth temperature, pressure (T o,Po ).

L'invention concerne un détecteur et un procédé de détection d'analytes dans des gaz. Le détecteur comprend un sorbant pour l'adsorption à l'intérieur et/ou sur celui-ci et/ou la désorption de celui-ci, un analyte inclus dans un gaz exposé à celui-ci, à une température, pression d'ordre zéro (T o,P o), un dispositif de commande conçu pour modifier la température, pression d'ordre zéro (T o,P o ) à une première température, pression (T l, P l) selon une première équation, pour désorber et/ou adsorber au moins une partie de l'analyte ; et un capteur agencé pour détecter au moins une partie de l'analyte et pour délivrer une réponse correspondant à l'analyte détecté. La réponse comprend et/ou est une réponse caractéristique de l'analyte. La première réponse est modifiée sur la base d'une première réponse de base à la température, pression d'ordre zéro (T o,P o).
