Abstract

The present disclosure is directed towards systems and methods built for predictively timing the inflation and/or deflation of an intra-aortic balloon pump. A controller operates in three states: (1) initialization state, (2) learning state, and (3) peak detection state. The controller decomposes a patient's electrocardiogram signal to a power signal. It then learns characteristics of the patient's electrocardiogram signal during the learning state and computes adaptive threshold parameter values. During the peak detection state, the controller applies the learnt threshold parameter values on a current electrocardiogram signal to identify occurrence and timings of R peaks in the electrocardiogram signal. The R-to-R peak timings are then used to trigger inflation of an intra-aortic balloon pump.

La présente invention concerne des systèmes et des procédés conçus pour synchroniser de manière prédictive le gonflage et/ou le dégonflage d'un ballon de contrepulsion intra-aortique. Un dispositif de commande fonctionne selon trois états : (1) un état d'initialisation, (2) un état d'apprentissage et (3) un état de détection de pic. Le dispositif de commande décompose un signal d'électrocardiogramme d'un patient en un signal de puissance. Il apprend ensuite les caractéristiques du signal d'électrocardiogramme du patient pendant l'état d'apprentissage et calcule des valeurs de paramètres de seuil adaptatives. Pendant l'état de détection de pic, le dispositif de commande applique les valeurs de paramètres de seuil apprises relativement à un signal d'électrocardiogramme courant pour identifier l'occurrence et les synchronisations de pics R dans le signal d'électrocardiogramme. Les synchronisations de pics R à R sont ensuite utilisées pour déclencher le gonflage d'un ballon de contrepulsion intra-aortique.
