Abstract

Novel conductive monocrystalline magnesium oxides are provided. The conductive monocrystalline magnesium oxides have a purity of at least 98% and have an imaginary contribution to the dielectric permittivity (?") of at most 0.03 at a frequency of 0.031 Hz or have a conductivity of at least 10-8.4 S*m-1 at a frequency of 0.031 Hz. Certain conductive monocrystalline magnesium oxides have a positive charge density. The conductive monocrystalline magnesium oxides may be prepared by a novel modulated annealing process.

L'invention concerne de nouveaux oxydes de magnésium monocristallins conducteurs. Les oxydes de magnésium monocristallins conducteurs ont une pureté d'au moins 98 % et ont une contribution théorique à la permittivité diélectrique (? ") maximale de 0,03 à une fréquence de 0 031 Hz ou une conductivité d'au moins 10-8,4 S*m-1 à une fréquence de 0,031 Hz. Certains oxydes de magnésium monocristallins conducteurs ont une densité de charge positive.
