An example method of generating three-dimensional objects is disclosed. Object generation instructions to generate the object may be determined by defining a shell region of a layer of build material corresponding to the first portion of the object having a first color, and defining a fusing agent region on a layer of build material adjacent to the shell region on which fusing agent of a second color is to be applied and specifying an amount of colorant to be applied to the shell region wherein the object generation instructions specify application of fusing agent and colorant such that, when the layer of build material is heated using a heat source, the fusing agent region of the build material melts due to energy absorbed from the heat source and the build material of the shell region melts due, at least in part, to energy transfer from the fusing agent region.

L'invention concerne un procédé donné à titre d'exemple de production d'objets tridimensionnels. Des instructions de production d'objet pour produire l'objet peuvent être déterminées en définissant une région de coque d'une couche de matériau de construction correspondant à la première partie de l'objet ayant une première couleur, et en définissant une région d'agent de fusion sur une couche de matériau de construction adjacente à la région de coque sur laquelle un agent de fusion d'une seconde couleur doit être appliqué et en spécifiant une quantité de colorant à appliquer à la région de coque, les instructions de production d'objet spécifiant l'application de l'agent de fusion et du colorant de telle sorte que, lorsque la couche de matériau de construction est chauffée à l'aide d'une source de chaleur, la région d'agent de fusion du matériau de construction fonde en raison de l'énergie absorbée par la source de chaleur et le matériau de construction de la région de coque fonde à cause, au moins en partie, d'un transfert d'énergie à partir de la région d'agent de fusion.
