In an example, a method includes receiving, at least one processor, object model data representing at least a portion of a first object that is to be generated by an additive manufacturing apparatus by fusing build material within a fabrication chamber. An indication of an amount of fused build material in a region of the fabrication chamber which is to be below the region in which the first object is to be generated may be determined and a dimensional compensation value to apply to the object model data representing the first object may be determined based on the determined indication. The determined dimensional compensation value may be applied to the object model data to derive modified object model data.

Selon un exemple, l'invention concerne un procédé comprenant la réception, au niveau d'au moins un processeur, de données de modèle d'objets représentant au moins une partie d'un premier objet à générer par un appareil de fabrication additive par fusion de matériau de construction à l'intérieur d'une chambre de fabrication. Une indication d'une quantité de matériau de construction fondu dans une région de la chambre de fabrication qui doit être au-dessous de la région dans laquelle le premier objet doit être généré peut être déterminée et une valeur de compensation dimensionnelle à appliquer aux données de modèle d'objet représentant le premier objet peut être déterminée sur la base de l'indication déterminée.
