An apparatus, computer program and method is described comprising receiving data at a receiver of a communication system, generating an estimate of the data as transmitted by a transmitter of the transmission system (wherein generating the estimate comprises a receiver algorithm having at least some trainable weights), generating a refined estimate of the transmitted data, based on said estimate and an error correction algorithm (wherein, in an operational mode, said estimate of the data as transmitted is generated based on the received data and said refined estimate); and generating, in the operational mode, a revised estimate of the transmitted data on each of a plurality of iterations of said generating an estimate of the transmitted data until a first condition is reached.

L'invention concerne un appareil, un programme d'ordinateur et un procédé consistant à recevoir des données au niveau d'un récepteur d'un système de communication, à générer une estimation des données telle que transmise par un émetteur du système de transmission (la génération de l'estimation comprenant un algorithme de récepteur ayant au moins certains poids d'apprentissage), à générer une estimation affinée des données transmises, sur la base de ladite estimation et d'un algorithme de correction d'erreur (dans un mode opérationnel, ladite estimation des données telles que transmises étant générée sur la base des données reçues et de ladite estimation affinée); et à générer, en mode opérationnel, une estimation révisée des données transmises sur chacune d'une pluralité d'itérations de ladite génération d'une estimation des données transmises jusqu'à ce qu'une première condition soit atteinte.
