Abstract

The invention provides a process for regenerating a liquid absorbent, comprising: contacting the liquid absorbent with a hydrophobic medium, wherein the liquid absorbent comprises at least one amine of Formula (I) and degradation product thereof comprising at least one imine of Formula (II), wherein each Ar is independently an aromatic group and each R is independently selected from hydrogen, an organyl group and NH2; and selectively extracting the degradation product into or through the hydrophobic medium.

L'invention concerne un processus de régénération d'un absorbant liquide, comprenant : la mise en contact de l'absorbant liquide avec un milieu hydrophobe, l'absorbant liquide comprenant au moins une amine de Formule (I) et un produit de dégradation de celui-ci comprenant au moins une imine de Formule (II), chaque Ar étant indépendamment un groupe aromatique et chaque R étant indépendamment choisi parmi l'hydrogène, un groupe organyle et NH2; et l'extraction sélective du produit de dégradation dans ou à travers le milieu hydrophobe.
