According to an example aspect, there is provided an apparatus configured at least to: puncture a part of block- coded bits determined by using a code generator matrix for generating a coded block a size of which as stored matches a size of a parity check matrix; puncture bits of the coded block to make a number of bits of the coded block to match a number of output bits of a distribution matcher, wherein the distribution matcher is used to create a shaped constellation according to probabilistic amplitude shaping, and generate parity bits for the punctured coded block, comprising first parity bits to be used as signs to create a symmetric part of the shaped constellation and second parity bits, wherein the second parity bits are mapped to at least one quadrature amplitude modulation symbol without shaping.

Selon un aspect donné à titre d'exemple, l'invention concerne un appareil configuré au moins pour : perforer une partie de bits codés par bloc déterminée à l'aide d'une matrice de générateur de code pour générer un bloc codé dont la taille correspond à une taille d'une matrice de contrôle de parité; perforer des bits du bloc codé pour qu'un nombre de bits du bloc codé corresponde au nombre de bits de sortie d'un dispositif de mise en correspondance de distribution, le dispositif de mise en correspondance de distribution étant utilisé pour créer une constellation façonnée selon une mise en forme d'amplitude probabiliste, et générer des bits de parité pour le bloc codé perforé, comprenant des premiers bits de parité à utiliser en tant que signes pour créer une partie symétrique de la constellation mise en forme et des seconds bits de parité, les seconds bits de parité étant mappés à au moins un symbole de modulation d'amplitude en quadrature sans mise en forme.
