Systems and methods for solving queries on image data are provided. The system includes a processor device coupled to a memory device. The system includes a detector manager (710) with a detector application programming interface (API) to allow external detectors to be inserted into the system by exposing capabilities of the external detectors and providing a predetermined way to execute the external detectors. An ontology manager (720) exposes knowledge bases regarding ontologies to a reasoning engine. A query parser (730) transforms a natural query into query directed acyclic graph (DAG). The system includes a reasoning engine (740) that uses the query DAG, the ontology manager and the detector API to plan an execution list of detectors. The reasoning engine (750) uses the query DAG, a scene representation DAG produced by the external detectors and the ontology manager to answer the natural query.

L'invention concerne des systèmes et des procédés permettant de résoudre des interrogations sur des données d'image. Le système comprend un dispositif de processeur couplé à un dispositif de mémoire. Le système comprend un gestionnaire de détecteur (710) ayant une interface de programmation d'application (API) de détecteur afin de permettre à des détecteurs externes d'être insérés dans le système en exposant des capacités des détecteurs externes et en fournissant un moyen prédéterminé afin d'exécuter les détecteurs externes. Un gestionnaire d'ontologie (720) expose des bases de connaissances concernant des ontologies à un moteur de raisonnement. Un analyseur d'interrogation (730) transforme une interrogation naturelle en graphe acyclique orienté interrogation (DAG). Le système comprend un moteur de raisonnement (740) qui utilise le graphe DAG d'interrogation, le gestionnaire d'ontologie et l'interface API de détecteur afin de planifier une liste d'exécution de détecteurs. Le moteur de raisonnement (750) utilise le graphe DAG d'interrogation, un graphe DAG de représentation de scène produit par les détecteurs externes et le gestionnaire d'ontologie afin de répondre à l'interrogation naturelle.
