In some aspects, a user equipment (UE) may receive a configuration from a base station that indicates whether to use a first channel quality indicator (CQI) table from a first set of CQI tables associated with terrestrial network communications or whether to use a second CQI table from a second set of CQI tables associated with non-terrestrial network communications. The UE may transmit CQI feedback to the base station based at least in part on the configuration. The UE may transmit the CQI feedback using the first CQI table when the configuration indicates that the first CQI table is to be used or may transmit the CQI feedback using the second CQI table when the configuration indicates that the second CQI table is to be used.

Selon certains aspects de l'invention, un équipement utilisateur (UE) peut recevoir une configuration à partir d'une station de base qui indique s'il faut utiliser une première table d'indicateurs de qualité de canal (CQI) parmi un premier ensemble de tables de CQI associé à des communications de réseau terrestre ou s'il faut utiliser une seconde table de CQI parmi un second ensemble de tables de CQI associé à des communications de réseau non terrestre. L'UE peut transmettre une rétroaction de CQI à la station de base sur la base, au moins en partie, de la configuration. L'UE peut transmettre la rétroaction de CQI à l'aide de la première table de CQI lorsque la configuration indique que la première table de CQI doit être utilisée ou peut transmettre la rétroaction CQI à l'aide de la seconde table de CQI lorsque la configuration indique que la seconde table CQI doit être utilisée.
