Abstract

Embodiments include an autonomous core perimeter, configured to save the state of a core of a multi-core processor prior to the processor package being placed into a lowpower state. The autonomous core perimeter of each core is configured to save an image of a microcontroller firmware to an external store if it has not been previously saved by another core, along with the unique working state information of that cores microcontroller. Upon restore, the single microcontroller firmware image is retrieved from the external store and pushed to each core along with each cores unique working state.

Selon des modes de réalisation, l'invention concerne un périmètre de cœur autonome, configuré pour sauvegarder l'état d'un cœur d'un processeur multicœur avant que le boîtier de processeur ne soit mis dans un état basse consommation. Le périmètre de cœur autonome de chaque cœur est configuré pour sauvegarder une image d'un micrologiciel de microcontrôleur dans une mémoire externe si elle n'a pas été préalablement sauvegardée par un autre cœur, conjointement avec les informations d'état de fonctionnement particulier du microcontrôleur de ce cœur. Lors de la restauration, l'unique image de micrologiciel de microcontrôleur est extraite de la mémoire externe et poussée vers chaque cœur avec l'état de fonctionnement particulier de chaque cœur.
