A filter material for an air filter, wherein two or more layers of nonwoven fabric are bonded by fusing, a plurality of design elements that are formed by the shapes of fused sections become a group to form a design showing a repeating pattern, the average area of one design element is 1-4.2mm2, the minimum distance between neighboring design elements is 10mm or less, and the value of the fused section obstruction rate (percentage) divided by the average area of one design element is 0.8-1.2%/mm2, said fused section obstruction rate corresponding to the ratio of the total area of the design elements included in the repeating pattern to the area of the repeating pattern formed by the design elements.

L'invention concerne un matériau filtrant pour un filtre à air, dans lequel deux ou plusieurs couches de tissu non tissé sont liées par fusion ; une pluralité d'éléments de conception formés par les profils des sections fusionnées deviennent un groupe permettant de former une conception présentant un motif répétitif ; l'aire moyenne d'un élément de conception est comprise entre 1 et 4,2 mm2 ; la distance minimale entre des éléments de conception voisins est égale ou inférieure à 10 mm ; et la valeur du taux (pourcentage) d'obstruction des sections fusionnées divisé par l'aire moyenne d'un élément de conception est comprise entre 0,8 et 1,2 %/mm2, ledit taux d'obstruction des sections fusionnées correspondant au rapport de l'aire totale des éléments de conception compris dans le motif répétitif à l'aire du motif répétitif formé par les éléments de conception.
