Provided are: an inkjet ink for infrared absorbent image formation, the inkjet ink containing the infrared absorbent material represented by formula (1), resin particles, a water-soluble organic solvent, a water-soluble organic compound X1, a surfactant, and water; and an application therefor. M+ represents a proton, a monovalent alkali metal cation or an organic cation, L1 represents a methine chain comprising 5 or 7 methine groups and having a substituent group at the central methine group of the methine chain, R1-R4 independently represent hydrogen atoms or substituent groups, and X represents O, S, or Se.

L'invention concerne : une encre pour jet d'encre permettant la formation d'image absorbant les infrarouges, ladite encre contenant le matériau absorbant les infrarouges représenté par la formule (1), des particules de résine, un solvant organique hydrosoluble, un composé organique hydrosoluble X1, un tensioactif et de l'eau ; et une application associée. M+ représente un proton, un cation de métal alcalin monovalent ou un cation organique, L1 représente une chaîne méthine comprenant 5 ou 7 groupes méthine et comprenant un groupe substituant au niveau du groupe méthine central de la chaîne méthine, R1-R4 représentent indépendamment des atomes d'hydrogène ou des groupes substituants, et X représente O, S ou Se.
