A monitoring system according to the present disclosure is provided with: an optical fiber (10) installed in the ground or on the seabed; an optical fiber sensing unit (21) which receives an optical signal from the optical fiber (10), and detects, on the basis of the optical signal, a vibration generated in the ground or on the seabed; and an analysis unit (22) which specifies, on the basis of the unique pattern of the detected vibration, a natural phenomenon causing the generation of the detected vibration.

L'invention concerne système de surveillance comprenant : une fibre optique (10) installée dans le sol ou sur le fond marin ; une unité de détection de fibre optique (21), destinée à recevoir un signal optique provenant de la fibre optique (10) et à détecter, en fonction du signal optique, une vibration générée dans le sol ou sur le fond marin ; et une unité d'analyse (22) destinée à déterminer, en fonction du motif unique de la vibration détectée, un phénomène naturel provoquant la génération de la vibration détectée.
