The present invention provides a new method, system and device to transport and treat or prepare food items, such as fish, for further processing. Furthermore, the new system also provides a solution for reducing the use of processing liquid or refrigerated sea water (RSW) or food processing or transfer fluid in order to reduce the environmental footprint comprising a water footprint and a carbon footprint of a food product.

La présente invention concerne un nouveau procédé, un nouveau système et un nouveau dispositif pour transporter et traiter ou préparer des articles alimentaires, tels que du poisson, en vue d'une transformation ultérieure. En outre, ce nouveau système offre également une solution permettant de réduire l'utilisation d'un liquide de traitement ou d'eau de mer réfrigérée (EMR) ou d'un fluide de transfert ou de transformation des aliments afin de réduire l'empreinte écologique, comprenant une empreinte eau et une empreinte carbone, d'un produit alimentaire.
