Braking system for vehicles (4) comprising a first brake group (8), a second brake group (12) and a third brake group (16), each brake group (8, 12, 16) comprising a rotor (20), a braking device (24) associated with said rotor (20), and an electro-hydraulic or electromechanical actuator (28) of each braking device (24), a first and a second control unit (32, 36) for said brake groups (8,12,16), wherein the first control unit (32) is operatively connected to the first brake group (8) by means of a piloting device (40) for said electromechanical or electro-hydraulic actuator (28) of the first brake group (8), wherein the second control unit (36) is operatively connected to the second brake group (12) by means of a piloting device (40) for said electromechanical or electro-hydraulic actuator (28) of the second brake group (12), and is connected to the third brake group (16) by means of a piloting device (40) for the electromechanical or electro-hydraulic actuator (28) of the third brake group (16), wherein the first control unit (32) is connected to and powered by a first power source (44), and wherein the second control unit (36) is connected to and powered by a second power source (48), said first and second power sources (44, 48) being independent and galvanically isolated from each other, each control unit (32, 36) being programmed to implement, via the corresponding piloting system (40), a standard braking strategy in case of malfunctions for each brake group (8, 12, 16) and a fault braking strategy, if it detects an electrical fault of one or more of the brake groups (8, 12, 16).

L'invention concerne un système de freinage pour véhicules (4) comprenant un premier groupe de freins (8), un deuxième groupe de freins (12) et un troisième groupe de freins (16), chaque groupe de freins (8, 12, 16) comprenant un rotor (20), un dispositif de freinage (24) associé audit rotor (20) et un actionneur électro-hydraulique ou électromécanique (28) de chaque dispositif de freinage (24), une première et une seconde unité de commande (32, 36) pour lesdits groupes de freins (8, 12, 16), la première unité de commande (32) étant reliée fonctionnellement au premier groupe de freins (8) au moyen d'un dispositif de pilotage (40) pour ledit actionneur électromécanique ou électro-hydraulique (28) du premier groupe de freins (8), la seconde unité de commande (36) étant reliée fonctionnellement au deuxième groupe de freins (12) au moyen d'un dispositif de pilotage (40) pour ledit actionneur électromécanique ou électro-hydraulique (28) du deuxième groupe de freins (12) et étant reliée au troisième groupe de freins (16) au moyen d'un dispositif de pilotage (40) pour l'actionneur électromécanique ou électro-hydraulique (28) du troisième groupe de freins (16), la première unité de commande (32) étant reliée à une première source d'alimentation (44) et alimentée par celle-ci et la seconde unité de commande (36) étant reliée à une seconde source d'alimentation (48) et alimentée par celle-ci, lesdites première et seconde sources d'alimentation (44, 48) étant indépendantes et isolées galvaniquement l'une de l'autre, chaque unité de commande (32, 36) étant programmée pour mettre en œuvre, par l'intermédiaire du système de pilotage correspondant (40), une stratégie de freinage standard en cas de dysfonctionnements pour chaque groupe de freins (8, 12, 16) et une stratégie de freinage de défaut, si elle détecte un défaut électrique d'un ou plusieurs des groupes de freins (8, 12, 16).
