Systems and methods for improving vision of a subject implanted with an intraocular lens (IOL). In some embodiments, a method includes determining a deviation in position of at least one optical element from a reference line corresponding to alignment of the apex of the cornea, center of the pupil, center of the IOL, and fovea, and/or determining a tilt of at least one of the optical elements relative to the reference line. The method can further include applying a plurality of focused laser pulses to a selected area of the implanted IOL to produce, through refractive index writing, a phase change pattern on the IOL that is configured to compensate for the deviation(s) and/or tilt to improve the foveal vision of the subject.

L'invention concerne des systèmes et des méthodes pour améliorer la vision d'un sujet auquel on a implanté une lentille intraoculaire (LIO). Dans certains modes de réalisation, une méthode consiste à déterminer une déviation de position d'au moins un élément optique à partir d'une ligne de référence correspondant à l'alignement du sommet de la cornée, du centre de la pupille, du centre de la LIO et de la fovéa, et/ou à déterminer une inclinaison d'au moins un des éléments optiques par rapport à la ligne de référence. La méthode peut en outre comprendre l'application d'une pluralité d'impulsions laser focalisées à une zone sélectionnée de la LIO implantée pour produire, par écriture d'indice de réfraction, un motif de changement de phase sur la LIO qui est configuré pour compenser la ou les déviations et/ou l'inclinaison afin d'améliorer la vision fovéale du sujet.
