Vorrichtung (1) zum Ermitteln einer Elementzusammensetzung eines Materials (2), umfassend: - einen Sammelbehälter (3) für das Material (2), - eine in oder an dem Sammelbehälter (3) angeordnete Neutronenquelle (4), die dazu eingerichtet ist, Neutronen in den Sammelbehälter (3) einzuleiten, - einen in oder an dem Sammelbehälter (3) angeordneten Strahlungsdetektor (5) zum Detektieren von Strahlung, die im Sammelbehälter (3) durch in das Material (2) eingeleitete Neutronen erzeugt wird, und - eine Auswerteeinheit (6), die dazu eingerichtet ist, aus der vom Strahlungsdetektor (5) detektierten Strahlung nach Art der Prompten-Gamma-Neutronen-Aktivierungs-Analyse, PGNAA, und/oder der Pulsed Fast Neutron Activation Analysis, PFTNA, die Elementzusammensetzung des Materials (2) zu ermitteln. Mit den beschriebenen Vorrichtungen (1, 15) und Verfahren kann die Elementzusammensetzung in einem Material (2) mit einer besonders hohen Messgenauigkeit ermittelt werden, in dem PGNAA, PFTNA und/oder LIBS auf ein Material (2) in einem Sammelbehälter (3) angewendet wird.

An apparatus (1) for ascertaining an elemental composition of a material (2) comprises: – a collection container (3) for the material (2), – a neutron source (4), which is arranged in or on the collection container (3) and configured to introduce neutrons into the collection container (3), – a radiation detector (5), arranged in or on the collection container (3), for detecting radiation generated in the collection container (3) by neutrons introduced into the material (2), and – an evaluation unit (6) which is configured to ascertain the elemental composition of the material (2) from the radiation detected by the radiation detector (5) using prompt gamma neutron activation analysis, PGNAA, and/or pulsed fast neutron activation analysis, PFTNA. Using the apparatuses (1, 15) and methods described, it is possible to ascertain the elemental composition in a material (2) with particularly high measurement accuracy, by virtue of PGNAA, PFTNA and/or LIBS being applied to a material (2) in a collection container (3).

L'invention concerne un dispositif (1) de détermination d'une composition élémentaire d'un matériau (2), ledit dispositif comprenant : un récipient collecteur (3) pour le matériau (2) ; une source de neutrons (4) disposée dans ou sur le récipient collecteur (3), qui est conçue pour introduire les neutrons dans le récipient collecteur (3) ; un détecteur de rayonnement (5) disposé dans ou sur le récipient collecteur (3) pour détecter le rayonnement qui est produit dans le récipient collecteur (3) au moyen des neurones introduits dans le matériau (2) ; et une unité d’évaluation (6) qui est conçue pour déterminer la composition élémentaire du matériau (2) à partir du rayonnement détecté par le détecteur de rayonnement (5) selon le type d’analyse d’activation neutronique gamma rapide (PGNAA) et/ou d’analyse Pulsed Fast Neutron Activation (PFTNA). Les dispositifs (1, 15) et le procédé de l’invention permettent de déterminer la composition élémentaire d’un matériau (2) avec une précision de mesure particulièrement élevée en appliquant une PGNAA, une PFTNA et/ou une LIBS à un matériau (2) dans un récipient collecteur (3).
