A garment-to-garment system for manufacturing new garments via recycling abandoned garments avoids, or minimizes the likelihood of, generating wastewater by the following approach. The abandoned garments are waterlessly sanitized by ozone fumigation. Fabric pieces of the sanitized abandoned garments are opened with dust removal to form fiber tufts, which are subsequently divided with trash removal to form fiber clumps. The fiber clumps are waterlessly sanitized by ozone fumigation or UV-C irradiation. Advantageously, the fiber clumps are spread out to form a web of fibers during sanitization. The exposed surface area of the fiber web is significantly higher than that of the abandoned garments, thereby increasing the sanitization effectiveness. The new garments are then formed from the sanitized fiber clumps by standard garment-manufacturing processes.

La présente invention concerne un système vêtement à vêtement pour fabriquer de nouveaux vêtements par recyclage de vêtements abandonnés qui évite, ou réduit au minimum, la probabilité de générer des eaux usées par l’approche suivante. Les vêtements abandonnés sont désinfectés sans eau par fumigation avec de l’ozone. Des morceaux de tissu des vêtements abandonnés désinfectés sont ouverts avec élimination de la poussière pour former des touffes de fibres, qui sont ensuite divisées par élimination des déchets pour former des amas de fibres. Les amas de fibres sont désinfectés sans eau par fumigation avec de l’ozone ou irradiation UV-C. Avantageusement, les amas de fibres sont étalés pour former une bande de fibres pendant la désinfection. L’aire de surface exposée de la bande de fibres est significativement supérieure à celle des vêtements abandonnés, de façon à augmenter l’efficacité de désinfection. Les nouveaux vêtements sont ensuite formés à partir des amas de fibres désinfectés par des procédés de fabrication de vêtements standard.
