Abstract

Several dimethylphosphine sulfide- and phosphine-containing compounds have been discovered that chelate copper(I) with high affinity. In certain embodiments, the compounds can be used to quantify copper(I) in complex biological systems. In another embodiment, the compounds can be used for the treatment of copper(I)-related illnesses and conditions. In still other embodiments, the compounds are ratiometric probes.

La présente invention concerne plusieurs composés contenant du sulfure de diméthylphosphine et de la phosphine qui chélatent le cuivre (I) avec une affinité élevée. Dans certains modes de réalisation, les composés peuvent être utilisés pour quantifier le cuivre (I) dans des systèmes biologiques complexes. Dans un autre mode de réalisation, les composés peuvent être utilisés pour le traitement de maladies et d'affections liées au cuivre (I). Dans d'autres modes de réalisation, les composés sont des sondes ratiométriques.
