A heating, ventilation, air conditioning, and/or refrigeration (HVAC&R) system includes a refrigerant loop having a compressor configured to circulate a refrigerant therethrough, a motor configured to drive rotation of the compressor, wherein the motor is a permanent magnet assisted synchronous reluctance (PMASR) motor, and a motor cooling system configured to direct a portion of the refrigerant from the refrigerant loop and through a housing of the PMASR motor to place the portion of the refrigerant in thermal communication with components of the PMASR motor.

Cette invention concerne un système de chauffage, ventilation, climatisation et/ou réfrigération (CVC&R)comprenant une boucle de fluide frigorigène ayant un compresseur configuré pour faire circuler un fluide frigorigène à travers celle-ci, un moteur configuré pour entraîner la rotation du compresseur, le moteur étant un moteur synchrone à réluctance assisté par aimant permanent (PMASR) et un système de refroidissement de moteur configuré pour diriger une partie du fluide frigorigène à partir de la boucle de fluide frigorigène et à travers un carter du moteur synchrone à réluctance assisté par aimant permanent pour placer la partie du fluide frigorigène en communication thermique avec des composants du moteur synchrone à réluctance assisté par aimant permanent.
