The use of a magnetic particle based "PUT" (Physically Unclonable Function) disk, when read by magnetic sensor(s), as a positional encoder is described. It is often necessary to include a linear or rotary encoder within a device for tracking motor movements, or to enable a closed-loop control algorithm on the motor system. These randomly dispersed magnetic particle disks can be used as a positional encoder, where the speed of movement and the direction of movement may be monitored.

L'invention concerne l'utilisation d'un disque "PUT" (fonction physiquement non clonable) à base de particules magnétiques , lorsqu'il est lu par un capteur magnétique, en tant que codeur de position. Il est souvent nécessaire d'inclure un codeur linéaire ou rotatif dans un dispositif pour suivre les mouvements du moteur, ou pour permettre un algorithme de commande en boucle fermée sur le système de moteur. Ces disques à particules magnétiques dispersés de manière aléatoire peuvent être utilisés en tant que codeur de position, la vitesse de mouvement et la direction de mouvement pouvant être surveillées.
