Disclosed are techniques for improving an advanced driver-assistance system (ADAS) using a secure channel area. In one embodiment, a method is disclosed comprising establishing a secure channel area extending from at least one side of a first vehicle; detecting a presence of a second vehicle in the secure channel area; establishing a secure connection with the second vehicle upon detecting the presence; exchanging messages between the first vehicle and the second vehicle, the messages including a position and speed of a sending vehicle; taking control of a position and speed of the first vehicle based on the contents of the messages; and releasing control of the position and speed of the first vehicle upon detecting that the secure connection was released.

L'invention concerne des techniques pour améliorer un système avancé d'assistance au conducteur (ADAS) à l'aide d'une zone de canal sécurisée. Dans un mode de réalisation, l'invention concerne un procédé consistant à établir une zone de canal sécurisée s'étendant depuis au moins un côté d'un premier véhicule ; détecter la présence d'un second véhicule dans la zone de canal sécurisée ; établir une connexion sécurisée avec le second véhicule lors de la détection de la présence ; échanger des messages entre le premier véhicule et le second véhicule, les messages comprenant une position et une vitesse d'un véhicule émetteur ; prendre le contrôle d'une position et d'une vitesse du premier véhicule sur la base du contenu des messages ; et laisser le contrôle de la position et de la vitesse du premier véhicule lors de la détection de la libération de la connexion sécurisée.
