A method for two-stage hand gesture input comprises receiving hand tracking data for a hand of a user. Using a gesture recognition machine, it is determined whether the user has performed a ready-bloom gesture based on one or more parameters derived from the received hand tracking data satisfying ready-bloom gesture criteria. If the user has performed a ready-bloom gesture, the gesture recognition machine next determines whether the user has performed a bloom-out gesture based on one or more parameters derived from the received hand tracking data satisfying bloom-out gesture criteria. The bloom-out gesture criteria are only satisfiable from the performed ready-bloom gesture. A visual affordance is then displayed responsive to determining that the user has performed the bloom-out gesture.

La présente invention concerne un procédé destinée à entrer un geste de main à deux étapes qui consiste à recevoir des données de suivi de main pour une main d'un utilisateur. À l'aide d'une machine de reconnaissance de geste, il est déterminé si l'utilisateur a effectué un geste « prêt à ouvrir » sur la base d'un ou de plusieurs paramètres dérivés des données de suivi de main reçues satisfaisant des critères de geste « prêt à ouvrir ». Si l'utilisateur a effectué un geste « prêt à ouvrir », la machine de reconnaissance de geste reconnaît ensuite que l'utilisateur a effectué un geste d'ouverture sur la base d'un ou de plusieurs paramètres dérivés des données de suivi de main reçues satisfaisant des critères de geste d'ouverture. Les critères de geste d'ouverture peuvent uniquement être satisfaits à partir du geste « prêt à ouvrir » réalisé. Une mise à disposition visuelle est ensuite affichée en réponse à la détermination que l'utilisateur a effectué le geste d'ouverture.
