This invention relates to a semi-batch process for preparing low viscosity polyoxyalkylene polyether polyols (P) that have a narrow molecular weight distribution. This process comprises reacting a H-functional starter substance (Si), a H-functional starter substance (Sx) and a H-functional starter substance (Sc) with one or more alkylene oxides in the presence of a double metal cyanide (DMC) catalyst. The resultant polyoxyalkylene polyols (P) have a functionality of 2 to 8 and a hydroxyl number of 5 to 35 mg KOH/g polyol. In addition, the polyoxyalkylation can be completed with a low continuous addition of starter (CAOS) cap.

La présente invention concerne un procédé semi-continu de préparation de polyols polyéther de polyoxyalkylène de faible viscosité (P) qui présentent une distribution de masse moléculaire étroite. Ce procédé consiste à faire réagir une substance de départ à fonctionnalité H (Si), une substance de départ à fonctionnalité H (Sx) et une substance de départ à fonctionnalité H (Sc) comportant un ou plusieurs oxydes d'alkylène en présence d'un catalyseur de type cyanure de métal double. Les polyols de polyoxyalkylène (P) résultants ont une fonctionnalité de 2 à 8 et un indice d'hydroxyle de 5 à 35 mg de KOH/g de polyol. De plus, la polyoxyalkylation peut être achevée avec un capuchon à faible addition continuelle d'initiateur.
