A method includes determining information indicative of at least one facial characteristic associated with at least one face in the source image, processing the source image using a filter based on the determined information, performing wavelet decomposition on each of the filtered image and the source image, determining weightage factors associated with the wavelet decomposition of each of the filtered image and the source image, based on the determined information, obtaining a wavelet image to generate a texture restored image from the wavelet decomposition of each of the filtered image and the source image based on the weightage factors.

L’invention concerne un procédé consistant à : déterminer des informations indiquant au moins une caractéristique faciale associée à au moins un visage dans l'image source ; traiter l'image source à l'aide d'un filtre d’après les informations déterminées ; effectuer une décomposition en ondelettes sur l'image filtrée et l'image source ; déterminer des facteurs de pondération associés à la décomposition en ondelettes de l'image filtrée et de l'image source d’après les informations déterminées ; et obtenir une image en ondelettes pour générer une image restaurée de texture à partir de la décomposition en ondelettes de l'image filtrée et de l'image source d’après les facteurs de pondération.
