This rubber composition contains a rubber component, an additive, and a filler, wherein: the additive contains a compound which includes carbon atoms and at least one species of atom selected from the group consisting of silicon atoms, nitrogen atoms and oxygen atoms; relative to the number of carbon atoms, the total number of silicon atoms, nitrogen atoms and oxygen atoms constituting the compound is 0.27−0.80; the Hansen solubility parameter of the compound satisfies the relationship represented in formula (2) below; and the molecular weight of the compound is 200-15,000. (2) 6 ≤ {4(δD1 − δD2)2 + (δP1 − δP2)2 + (δH1 − δH2)2}0.5
