This flux is used in an electro-slag remelting process. When the water content of said flux as determined by the Karl Fischer method is denoted by W, and the change in the water content after leaving alone said flux in an environment of 30ºC and 85% RH for 14 days is denoted by ∆W, W is 0.03 mass% or less and ∆W is 0.01 mass% or less. Said flux preferably contains CaF2 and Al2O3.

La présente invention concerne un flux qui est utilisé dans un procédé de refusion sous laitier électroconducteur. La teneur en eau dudit flux, telle que déterminée par le procédé de Karl Fischer est désignée par W, et le changement de la teneur en eau après avoir laissé seul ledit flux dans un environnement de 30 °C et 85 % d'HR pendant 14 jours est désigné par ∆W, W ayant 0,03 % en masse ou moins et ∆W ayant 0,01 % en masse ou moins. Ledit flux contient de préférence du CaF2 et de l'Al2O3.

エレクトロスラグ再溶解法に用いられるフラックス。このフラックスの、カールフィッシャー法により求められる含水率をWとし、フラックスを30℃、85%RH環境下に14日間置いたときの含水率変化をΔWとしたとき、Wは0.03質量%以下であり、ΔWは0.01質量%以下である。このフラックスは、好ましくは、CaFとAlとを含む。
