A first wavelength conversion element according to one embodiment of the present disclosure is provided with: a phosphor layer which contains a plurality of phosphor particles, while having voids inside; a coolant which cools the phosphor layer; a coolant transporting member which is arranged in contact with the phosphor layer and circulates the coolant; and a case in which the phosphor layer, the coolant and the coolant transporting member are sealed, and which is provided with a protective layer on at least a part of the inner wall thereof.

Un premier élément de conversion de longueur d'onde selon un mode de réalisation de la présente invention comporte : une couche de phosphore qui contient une pluralité de particules de phosphore tout en ayant des vides à l'intérieur ; un agent de refroidissement qui refroidit la couche de phosphore ; un élément de transport d'agent de refroidissement qui est agencé en contact avec la couche de phosphore et fait circuler l'agent de refroidissement ; et un boîtier dans lequel la couche de phosphore, l'agent de refroidissement et l'élément de transport d'agent de refroidissement sont scellés, et qui est doté d'une couche de protection sur au moins une partie de sa paroi interne.
