The present invention is a lubrication oil composition which is characterized by containing (A) a liquid random copolymer of ethylene and an α-olefin, which is produced by a specific method and (F) a sulfur-containing compound wherein at least one hydrocarbon group that is adjacent to a sulfur atom is a secondary or tertiary hydrocarbon group, while containing, as an optional component, (G) a polymer of an α-olefin having 3-6 carbon atoms, and which is also characterized in that: the kinematic viscosity at 40°C is 450-51,000 mm2/s; the content of sulfur is 0.1-5 parts by weight; and the content of the component (G) is 0-15 parts by weight. This lubrication oil composition is especially suitable for gear oils and the like.

L'invention concerne une composition d'huile lubrifiante qui est caractéristique en ce qu'elle contient (A) un copolymère aléatoire liquide d'un éthylène et d'une α-oléfine fabriqué selon un procédé spécifique, (F) un composé comprenant un soufre tel qu'au moins un groupe hydrocarbure adjacent au soufre consiste en un groupe hydrocarbure secondaire ou tertiaire, et en tant que composant optionnel, (G) un polymère α oléfine de 3 à 6 atomes de carbone, et qui présente une viscosité cinématique à 40°C comprise entre 450 et 51,000mm2/s. En outre, la teneur en soufre est comprise entre 0,1 et 5 parties en masse. et la teneur en composant (G) est comprise entre 0 et 15 parties en masse. Ladite composition d'huile lubrifiante est particulièrement adaptée en tant qu'huile de roue d'engrenage.

本発明は、(A)特定の方法により製造されるエチレンとα-オレフィンとの液状ランダム共重合体と、(F)硫黄に隣接する少なくとも一つの炭化水素基が2級もしくは3級の炭化水素基である硫黄含有化合物と、任意成分として(G)炭素数3~6のαオレフィンの重合体とを含み、40℃動粘度が450~51,000mm2/sであり、硫黄の含有率が、0.1~5重量部であり、前記(G)成分の含有率が0~15重量部であることを特徴とする潤滑油組成物である。上記潤滑油組成物は、とりわけギヤ油などに適する。
