Correlated quality-of-experience (QoE) and latency measures are generated at a plurality of monitoring points along a multimedia delivery chain including multiple video operations. At each of the plurality of monitoring points, an absolute QoE measure defined on a human perceptual quality scale for media content is computed, and one or more of content extraction or feature extraction on the media content are performed. To a common middleware from each of the plurality of monitoring points, the respective QoE measure and results of the one or more of content extraction or feature extraction are transmitted. Computing and updating an absolute QoE measure for each of the plurality of monitoring points is performed. Computing and updating latencies between multiple monitoring points at the middleware using the results from each of the plurality of monitoring points is also performed.

L'invention concerne des mesures de qualité d'expérience (QoE) et de latence corrélées étant générées au niveau d'une pluralité de points de surveillance le long d'une chaîne de distribution multimédia comprenant de multiples opérations vidéo. Au niveau de chacun de la pluralité de points de surveillance, une mesure de QoE absolue définie sur une échelle de qualité perceptuelle humaine pour un contenu multimédia est calculée, et une ou plusieurs extraction de contenu ou extraction de caractéristique sur le contenu multimédia sont effectuées. La mesure de QoE et les résultats de l'extraction de contenu ou de l'extraction de caractéristique respectifs sont transmis à un intergiciel commun à partir de chacun de la pluralité de points de surveillance. Le calcul et la mise à jour d'une mesure de QoE absolue pour chacun de la pluralité de points de surveillance sont effectués. Le calcul et la mise à jour des latences entre de multiples points de surveillance au niveau de l'intergiciel à l'aide des résultats de chacun de la pluralité de points de surveillance sont également effectués.
