A process for catalytic gasification to produce ammonia and urea. The process includes converting carbonaceous feedstock(32) in a hydromethanation reactor(200) to a methane-enriched raw product stream(50), coverting the methane-enriched raw product stream(50) to an ammonia synthesis feed gas, then coverting the ammonia synthesis feed gas to higher-value products such as ammonia and urea.

La présente invention concerne un procédé de préparation de produits à valeur supérieure à partir de matières premières carbonées. Le procédé consiste à convertir une charge carbonée dans un réacteur d'hydrométhanation en un flux de produit brut enrichi en méthane, à convertir le flux de produit brut enrichi en méthane en un gaz d'alimentation de synthèse d'ammoniac, puis à convertir le gaz d'alimentation de synthèse d'ammoniac en produits de valeur supérieure de type ammoniac et urée.
