Video processing such as encoding and/or decoding a picture can involve deriving an inter-prediction parameter based on first and second merge candidates used to generate a pairwise merge candidate, wherein the inter-prediction parameter comprises at least one of an index for weighted bi-prediction or an interpolation filter index; and encoding at least a portion of the picture information based on the inter-prediction parameter.

L'invention concerne un traitement vidéo, tel qu'un codage et/ou un décodage d'une image, pouvant consister à dériver un paramètre d'inter-prédiction sur la base de premier et second candidats de fusion utilisés pour générer un candidat de fusion par paire, le paramètre d'inter-prédiction comprenant un indice de bi-prédiction pondérée et/ou un indice de filtre d'interpolation ; et à coder au moins une partie des informations d'image sur la base du paramètre d'inter-prédiction.
