What is proposed is a method for obtaining a data segment by means of a client device capable of communicating with a plurality of content delivery networks (CDN1, CDN2), the method comprising the following steps: for each network of the plurality of networks, calculating (100) a score associated with the network indicative of a quality of data transmission from the network to the client device; randomly selecting (102) a network from among the plurality of networks, the random selection being adapted so that a probability of selecting from among the plurality a network that is associated with a score indicating a first transmission quality is higher than a probability of selecting from among the plurality a network that is associated with a score indicating a second transmission quality lower than the first transmission quality; and polling (104) the selected network so that the client device obtains the data segment from the selected network.

Il est proposé un procédé d'obtention d'un segment de données par un dispositif client apte à communiquer avec une pluralité de réseaux de diffusion de contenu (CDN1, CDN2), le procédé comprenant des étapes suivantes : pour chaque réseau de la pluralité de réseaux, calcul (100) d'un score associé au réseau indicatif d'une qualité de transmission de données depuis le réseau au dispositif client; tirage aléatoire (102) d'un réseau dans la pluralité de réseaux, le tirage aléatoire étant adapté pour qu'une probabilité de tirer un réseau de la pluralité associé à un score indicatif d'une première qualité de transmission soit supérieure à une probabilité de tirer un réseau de la pluralité associé à un score indicatif d'une deuxième qualité de transmission inférieure à la première qualité de transmission; et sollicitation (104) du réseau tiré pour que le dispositif client obtienne le segment de données du réseau tiré.
