Die Erfindung betrifft eine Elektrode, insbesondere Anode (20), für eine Gasentladungslampe, wobei die Elektrode (20) einen Grundkörper (22) aufweist, der mehrere Kammern (221 - 223) einschließt. Die Kammern (221 - 223) können bezüglich einer Längsachse (A) der Elektrode (20) parallel zueinander oder in Reihe angeordnet sein und sind mit einem niedrigschmelzenden Metall (26), wie z.B. Silber oder Kupfer, zumindest teilweise gefüllt. Durch geeignete Abstimmung der Anzahl, Füllung, Form und geometrischen Abmessungen der einzelnen Kammern (221 - 223) sowie deren Lage innerhalb des Grundkörpers (22) auf das jeweilige Design der Elektrode (20) kann eine verbesserte Wärmeabfuhr aus dem Grundkörper (22), insbesondere aus dem Bereich nahe des Anodenplateaus (14), erzielt werden.

The invention relates to an electrode, in particular an anode (20), for a gas discharge lamp, wherein the electrode (20) has a main body (22) which surrounds multiple chambers (221 - 223). The chambers (221 - 223) may be arranged parallel to one another or in series, with respect to a longitudinal axis (A) of the electrode (20), and are at least partially filled with a low-melting metal (26), for example silver or copper. By suitably making the number, filling, form and geometrical dimensions of the individual chambers (221 - 223) and their position within the main body (22) match the respective design of the electrode (20), improved heat dissipation from the main body (22), in particular from the region close to the anode plateau (14), can be achieved.

L'invention concerne une électrode, en particulier une anode (20), pour une lampe à décharge, l'électrode (20) comportant un corps de base (22) qui renferme une pluralité de chambres (221-223). Les chambres (221-223) peuvent être disposées parallèlement les unes aux autres ou en série, par rapport à un axe longitudinal (A) de l'électrode (20), et sont au moins partiellement remplies d'un métal (26) à bas point de fusion, tel que l'argent ou le cuivre. Une meilleure dissipation de la chaleur du corps de base (22), en particulier de la zone proche du plateau d'anodes (14), peut être obtenue en adaptant de manière appropriée le nombre, le remplissage, la forme et les dimensions géométriques des différentes chambres (221-223) et leur position dans le corps de base (22) à la conception respective de l'électrode (20).
