There is provided an apparatus, said apparatus comprising means for operating using a first measurement configuration, determining that a first trigger condition related to at least a radio link failure indicator is met and in response to the determining, operating using a second measurement configuration until a second trigger condition is met, wherein operating using the second measurement configuration comprises at least one of performing measurements with a decreased periodicity, an increased number of samples and/or an increased number of reports, increasing the number of measured neighbour cells and reducing a time to trigger handover period relative to the first measurement configuration.

L’invention concerne un appareil, ledit appareil comprenant des moyens destinés à opérer à l’aide d’une première configuration de mesure, à déterminer qu’une première condition de déclenchement associée à au moins un indicateur d’échec de liaison radio est satisfaite et en réponse à la détermination, à opérer à l’aide d’une deuxième configuration de mesure jusqu’à ce qu’une deuxième condition de déclenchement soit satisfaite, l’opération à l’aide de la deuxième configuration de mesure consistant en au moins une opération destinée à procéder à des mesures avec une périodicité réduite, un nombre accru d’échantillons et/ou un nombre accru de rapports, à accroître le nombre de cellules voisines mesurées, et à réduire un temps pour déclencher une période de transfert par rapport à la première configuration de mesure.
