In one embodiment of the device and method, the angle of incidence (alpha) of slit light onto an eye to be examined is determined from its Purkinje reflection (37) recorded in an image by measuring the offset (s) from the reflection (37) to the apex (32) of the image (35) of the cornea. In another embodiment, Purkinje reflections (50a, 50b) of light sources arranged around the optical axis (9) of the microscope (6) are correlated with a reference pattern (54) of radial stripes in order to determine the offset between the optical axis (9) and the apex of the eye.

Selon un mode de réalisation du dispositif et du procédé, l'angle d'incidence (alpha) de lumière de fente sur un œil à examiner est déterminé à partir de sa réflexion de Purkinje (37) enregistrée dans une image par la mesure du ou des décalages de la réflexion (37) par rapport au sommet (32) de l'image (35) de la cornée. Selon un autre mode de réalisation, les réflexions de Purkinje (50a, 50b) de sources de lumière agencées autour de l'axe optique (9) du microscope (6) sont corrélées avec un motif de référence (54) de bandes radiales afin de déterminer le décalage entre l'axe optique (9) et le sommet de l’œil.
