In order to measure at least one geometric parameter of an eye (8), Purkinje reflections (20a, 20b, 21) from blue and infrared light sources (15a, l5b, 16) are recorded with a microscope (6) and a camera (11). Due to the dispersion of the optics of the microscope (6), at least one set of reflections is defocused. By measuring the radii (R1, R2) of the reflections, the offset of the camera (6) from an ideal focusing position or another distance parameter (df) can be calculated. The distance parameter can e.g. be used to correct the magnification factor of the microscope even if the microscope is a non-telecentric microscope. For example, it can be used to carry out more accurate keratometry measurement using a non-telecentric microscope and/or non-telecentric illumination.

Selon la présente invention, afin de mesurer au moins un paramètre géométrique d'un œil (8), des réflexions de Purkinje (20a, 20b, 21) provenant de sources de lumière bleue et infrarouge (15a, 15b, 16) sont enregistrées avec un microscope (6) et une caméra (11). Du fait de la dispersion des optiques du microscope (6), au moins un ensemble de réflexions est défocalisé. En mesurant les rayons (R1, R2) des réflexions, le décalage de la caméra (6) à partir d'une position de focalisation idéale ou d'un autre paramètre de distance (df) peut être calculé. Le paramètre de distance peut par exemple être utilisé pour corriger le facteur de grossissement du microscope même si le microscope est un microscope non télécentrique. Par exemple, il peut être utilisé pour effectuer une mesure de kératométrie plus précise à l'aide d'un microscope non télécentrique et/ou d'un éclairage non télécentrique.
